About SuckButt

SuckButt is an independent publication about things that suck and everything next to it. It exists because the useful version of this subject is usually the one nobody has time to write.

Everything we publish tries to be irreverent, funny, genuinely aggrieved — a rant with evidence behind it, which mostly means saying what we actually think and showing the reasoning.

What we cover

The site is organised into 6 sections:

• Things That Suck — Products, services and experiences that promised one thing and delivered another.
• Money Suckers — Subscription creep, junk fees, and the charges that appear after you have committed.
• Tech That Sucks — Buggy apps, hostile updates and gadgets that were better two versions ago.
• The Internet Sucks — Dark patterns, cookie walls, spam and websites designed to waste your afternoon.
• Workplace BS — Meetings that were emails, corporate language, and the small absurdities of office life.
• Pains In The Butt — Traffic, queues, packaging, hold music — the everyday irritations nobody writes down.

Who writes it

Every article carries a named writer with a profile page, and nothing is published anonymously. You can see the full list on our writers page.

We are advertising-funded and independently owned. No advertiser sees an article before publication, and none has ever been offered the chance. See the editorial policy.
